At 51, Queen's Road East

1 on the top floor, a Portu-

guese young man named Gregory Maria Xavior, who is on-

ployed as a Clerk in the Hongkong & China Gas Company Ltd

lives with his wife Judith Eucharys Xavier (née Botelho)

they have only been married since the 31st March 1913.

Mr. J. A. Bullin is one of the Inspectors of the Sanitary

Department and the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Xavier is

situated within the district in which he works.

According

to the story which is told by Mrs. Xavier, on Tuesday the

23rd April,between half past three and four in the after-
